Ultrasound-based RTLS Technology (USID)

Ultrasound (not audible sound) offers a robust alternative to radiofrequency/WiFi and IR for reliable location identification. Since ultrasound does not easily penetrate walls, ceilings, floors, windows etc it is relatively simple to accurately identify location of an ultrasound transmitting tag. This technology supports workflow solutions where it is important to detect association of patients, staff and/or equipment in real time and inside the same room and /or at a specific location inside a room.
